Hey guys, has anyone here actually gone through both an Optimum Mobility facelift and a deep plane one (or at least talked to surgeons who do both)? I’m trying to figure out what feels different day-to-day during recovery and long-term, not just the marketing talk. Last year my aunt got something called “deep plane” and she looked amazing but was swollen forever, while my coworker swears her Optimum Mobility thing had her back at work in like ten days with barely any bruising. Is it really that big a gap in real life or just depends on the surgeon? Curious what you’ve seen.

Oh man, I was in the exact same boat last spring trying to decide for myself. The biggest practical difference I noticed (and what finally sold me) was how the Optimum Mobility approach keeps more of the natural tissue connections intact while still getting solid lifting, so the face moves super normally afterward—no weird tight feeling when you smile or talk. Deep plane goes way deeper under the muscle layer for potentially longer-lasting results, but yeah, the downtime can be brutal. I ended up going Optimum because I couldn’t take three weeks off life. This breakdown helped me wrap my head around it deep plane facelift explained — explained the layers stuff without making my eyes glaze over.
