The Rural Caucus of Alberta School Boards acknowledges the ancestral and traditional territories of the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked the lands we now know as Alberta. We also acknowledge that education in its original form has flourished in these regions for centuries because of the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who have gone on before us, and we are grateful for those who are still with us and who continue to share their knowledge and wisdom.

It is our commitment to support flourishing education throughout rural Alberta that honours and applies foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis, and Inuit.
